About

Daniela Childers is a Florida-based seamstress, artist, and designer. In 2016 she graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Minor in Music. While at Dartmouth she undertook a course in costume design with Professor Laurie Churba Kohn, designing costumes for a broad range of plays.

After graduating Daniela continued to fulfill her life-long passion of creating art and designing clothing. Beginning as a stitcher under the supervision of costume designers Brian O’Keefe and Franne Lee at Palm Beach Dramaworks in February of 2017, since joining the costume shop at Palm Beach Dramaworks, Daniela has worked on several shows, including Arcadia, The Cripple of Inishman, Sweeney Todd, and The Little Foxes.

Always committed to perfecting her craft as a designer and learning the ins and outs of costume production, Daniela has also accepted a position as a tutor with the Theater department at Bak Middle School of the Arts in West Palm Beach. When she’s not busily working, she volunteers her time making teddy bears with the VITAS Hospice Memory Bear program or simply enjoying a cup of tea with her cat Sasha.
